I lead a charmed life as child. I knew early on I was destined for greatness. Who am I kidding? Much like John Denver writes, I was "born" later in life. I really don't remember much about the person who I used to be. I am sure all the things that she did and all the things that happened to her were very important and shaped me into who I am today. Today's me is a very different me from, say 10 years ago. Not that 10 years ago me is bad. I just really like now me. I feel comfortable with "now" me. I don't think I was comfortable with me, 10 years ago. Now, I would totally hang out with me.
My life is currently defined by my passions. I am passionate about my husband, my family, my dogs and my hobbies. My father once told me - find something you can do from nine to five that you enjoy enough to pay the bills and finance the things that you truly love to do! I work a lot to play even more.
Take me OUTSIDE! There is no better place for me than in the woods or on the water. It doesn't matter if we are hunting or fishing or hiking or just sitting taking it all in - I can't get enough of the great outdoors and all it's creatures.
I love raising chickens. We currently have motley crew of 30 or so hens and roosters that we raise for eggs to donate and sell. We have two dogs, a cat, a bearded dragon, a pixie frog, a beta, a king snake, 2 hamster and, a gecko. For now. A few years back, I started keeping bees. Right now, we have three hives. The bee's wax lead to soap making and candle pouring. I also crochet and sew a little, when I'm bored. And I like to bake.
And then, there is my newest love, sport of falconry. Go ahead...ask me about my bird...I can talk for DAYS about my bird and the sport! Right now, I currently have a female red tail that I hunt squirrels with, but my plan is to expand the raptors and add a smaller accipter to the team for hunting invasive species birds.
